Our story
One vintage cream truck,
a lot of bright green in a cup.
Meet Kita.

Kita is the founder, the whisk behind the counter, and the name on the truck. What started as a personal ritual at home turned into a small business built around one idea: matcha, made carefully, served with intention.
Why matcha.
Matcha isn't a trend for us. It's the most honest cup we've ever poured — stone-ground, whisked by hand. We use house-made syrups, never anything artificial — nothing that would compromise the matcha itself. The way the powder dissolves, the way the foam rises, the way it tastes like spring.
Why Sarasota.
Because this town moves at the right pace. Because the morning light off the Gulf belongs in your hands on a slow walk. Because our neighbors here actually stop, sit, and ask how you make it.
Why a truck.
We wanted to come to you. Farmers markets, pop-ups, sunset events — the truck lets us bring the ritual outside, where the air is salty and nobody is in a hurry. One day there will be a tea room. For now, follow the truck.
01
Sourced
Single-origin matcha from family farms in Uji and Kagoshima, Japan.
02
Whisked
By hand, in a chawan, with a bamboo chasen — never a blender.
03
Served
Poured into a cup to-go, with a kind word and your name written down.
Come say hi.
The best way to understand Kita is to drink one. Find the truck this week, or send us a note about your event.
